Overstaying your visa

Post by crewmeal »

Looking at another site it seems that as of 1st January 2025 the authorities have changed the rules for overstayers for everyone. Before those over 60 were exempt from fines but now it’s everyone. So be warned!

Slowly slowly Egypt is trying to catch up with most of the rest of the world. The red tape of officialdom beckons! Mind, you cannot blame them, foreigners come and go as if they own the place, whilst many good honest Egyptians are repeatedly refused visitor visas to many other countries.

So having been here since boxing day, What's the score ? shall I pop into the visa office and ask on tomorrow's
shopping trip over the Dark Side, mind you I enjoy a trip down there, Aboudi book shop & expensive beers opposite.

So if anybody really knows the 'score let us know, cheers!
One doubts one will be more elucidated tomorrow, Egypt eh? Love em..........
