There’s a weird irony with the new 50 pound note which will be issued soon.
Turin was never accepted during his life and the £50 note will be equally unacceptable.....particularly in Egypt.

When I lived on the narrowboats there was a great bar in Little Venice, where we would sometimes drink.
The Colonnade has a plaque to him outside saying he was born there, probably not in the bar..
