Peaky Blinders

Post by Chocolate Eclair »

Just watched the full 6 episodes of Peaky Blinders Series 1, what a great and enthralling drama set after the war. I would advise anyone to download and watch this. Brilliant!!! The name Peaky Blinders refers to razor blades hidden in the peaks of flat caps, not too gory though just a strong and good story line, set in Birmingham and around the BSA Factory, and also in the areas of Smallheath, Saltly, Sparkbrook.

Eagerly awaiting series 2 here. I particularly want to know more about what was happening in the tunnel in Thomas's dreams. I have a theory about that, one which would explain Tommy's antipathy towards Freddy...

Mrs Choccy, a Brummie by birth has just found out her grandfather was a Peaky Blinder, who lived off Golden Hillock Road where the BSA Factory was, and he also used the Pub in Garrison Road, aptly named The Garrison, which has incidentally just been sold, following the program for a much greater price than originally put up for.

Better be aware if you see her out with a peaked cap on

If she refuses to wear a crash helmet on a motor bike, I doubt very much that she would be prepared to wear a flat cap. How do you manage to ''just'' find out your heritage? My uncle took nearly thirty years of investigations until death beat him to the end.

Mainly from relatives that are still living and some are well in their 90's they really do have stories to tell. Regarding Mrs Choccy I really don't think she would wear anything like a cap with razor blades sewn in it, her tongue is much sharper :))) :))) :))) in fact far sharper than mine, when unleashed she could slash a caleshe in half at 100 metres. :))) :))) :)))
