Re: Covid Test
I think your best bet is to call the international hospital. They will be familiar with the situation as many Egyptian workers in the Gulf need to get one to fly there.
If the hospital don’t do it themselves, they’ll surely be able to point you in the right direction.
At the back of my mind , I think it costs around $100
Have a look at this :

Bearing in mind the 72 hour time constraint, you may find it necessary to get tested in Cairo, assuming you’d be flying from there, and therefore need to spend a night or two there.
There’s some helpful info here :

You could always wait until the repatriation flights start....

Re: Covid Test
There’s no shortage of flights to U.K...and ,of course, Carrie wouldn’t need a PCR test to go there.
I suspect she’s thinking of somewhere else....Turkey perhaps?

Re: Covid Test
Thanks Newcastle I will call and ask at the International next time I am over.
Hatusu, after recent experiences I wouldn't go there if it was the last place on earth.

Re: Covid Test
I've written to Boris asking him to close all international flights.
That'll keep Nick cleaning the gaff for a few months..
Had a great chat with the covid blood taking tester guy yesterday.
He's stunned by the ignorance out there, interesting chat.....
Ps; I was his 15th test and it was only 14.30..

Yes....
100,000 Britons abroad face scramble to find a covid test or risk being stranded as government rules travellers will be BANNED from entering UK without a negative test - within DAYS.
Every traveller coming into UK ports or airports should have a pre-flight negative test to enter or will face a £500 on-the-spot fine.

Re: Covid Test
A question ?
Has getting a CV19 test in Luxor been resolved, Nick has asked where to get one.
Personally, I would have recommended the Luxor Medical Center, as my experience of them has been 100%.
And the thought of using the International Hospital is totally insane.
Remember the old saying, "It's safer outside a Hospital than in" and venturing into the Int Hospital,
I reckon would be signing one's own death certificate....

Re: Covid Test
Well to let all you 'lotus-eaters out there know, that Nick will now be staying until 2nd Feb.
In my view he will probably be there well into March or even later as by then, No-one will be flying into the UK.
And as for the report ' a lack of oxygen in Egypt ? The UK is on its 'last legs as far a Oxygen is concerned....
Ps: chin-up, stay home, wash hands, be lucky!
Pss: A Dr speaks: "This is only the tip of the iceberg. 'You have been warned!

The next EasyJet flight out of Hurghada is 11th Feb. I think the flight on 2nd was pulled some days ago.
