One for Hepzi!
I've just finished reading 'My 1001 Nights' by Alice Morrison, and for anyone with an interest in Morocco, I would highly recommend it. Alice Morrison is a Scottish adventurer who visited Morocco, fell in love with the country and its people and now lives there. She made a TV programme a while ago which I enjoyed so this book was right up my street. She has also written a few more books but this is the only one I have read so far. It's well written and offers an insight into life in Morocco which is very informative. For anyone thinking of holidaying there in the future, reading the book can only add to your experience.

Ruby Slippers, thank you. I'm sorry to be late in acknowledging your post but I confess I have only just noticed it. I've not been checking each section of the forum so much recently, and then go in to catch up mode - which is what I'm trying to do now.
I will certainly look out for this book, Morocco being a favourite destination of mine. I will also have to read up about Alice Morrison as I think she may be the lady who didn't like a comment I made - supported by others (my comment not her dislike) - on a Moroccan forum, and then promptly removed everything she'd written, much to the surprise of everyone in the group.

Oh dear, Hepzi! The lady herself doesn't come across as particularly thin skinned. - but you never know with folks, do you?

Re: One for Hepzi!
I've remembered better what happened. I didn't comment on a post of hers. The series Morocco to Timbuctoo was being discussed in a Morocco group I belong. There were positive and negative points about it. I can't remember the specific but I made a comment based on my own experience, having made a couple of very long journeys throughout Moroccan and sub-Sahara - which was liked and supported by others. A women took umbridge to this, a few other posts were made and then this woman threw a wobbly and then, to the surprise of everyone in the conversation, removed all her comments. I had no idea at the time that this person was actually Alice Morrison.
