This restaurant has been completely refurbished and is now called the Jewel of the Nile. It is now owned and managed by and English lady called Laura. Lovely food, spotlessly clean and great atmosphere.
What a lovely place, it really is as it's name suggests. Food is excellent, Mamood the chef is a delight. Laura does a quiz on wednesday night at 7 to raise money for the local animal hospital. Expect to stay for the evening, lovely atmosphere.
caffetieres of coffee!?spelling and grapefruit juice! food excellent too. although did feel a little guilty ordering 5 minutes before break fast in ramadan as the chef was ready to have his Iftar!
Hi, my name is Laura and I'm the owner of the Jewel of the Nile. I would just like to add a little more information. We have free internet access and free wireless access. We run a quiz on a Wednesday night at 7pm and a book club the last friday of every month at 12 noon, both of theses are to raise money for the local animal hospital, we also collect unwanted toiletries, clothes books etc for local charities, so anyhing you don't want to carry home please bring along to us.
