Bear in mind that every one of those visitors was having to read in English.
I noted the number of visitors and they were present for some time so they must have been reading rather than just passing through :)

[face=Comic Sans MS]There was only a couple of Google bots on at the time, so I think that would only account for a couple of the American flags.

Since then I've seen the Guatamalan flag on line, and I think that was the first time. :) [/face]

Hepzi, you can add Cameroon in West Africa, and Colombia and Ecuador in South America to your list.
I have seen these in the last 2 days.

I've discovered that they often equate. :) [/face]

[face=Comic Sans MS]Thanks Countessa, Thailand has been visiting for quite a while, Rep of Moldova I think only the last couple of weeks, they are on my list of 17/02/07. There is still plenty of updating to do this week though. :)

Flag spotting certainly is addictive. :) Maybe it would be good way for your daughter to learn the countries around the world and their flags. ;) [/face]

First thing I do each time I log on is to see who we have as guests. :( With English language being taught worldwide now, we can expect visitors from many more countries, I think......
As well as China, South Korea has some regular visitors, and many "Third World Countries" are also visiting...... Yes that's right, from the UK!

Re: Members and Visitors Flags

Members and Visitors Flags

I have read on another thread that we are a site that is visited by mainly Europeans. It may be the membership is made up of mainly Europeans, I cannot confirm that, but according to the flags we now have people - members and guests visiting us from 74 countries across 6 continents.

Seeing all the flags is a good reminder that not everyone is a native English speaker and we must all make allowances for the differences in the way we write. It's also a good reminder that you never know who is reading what you have written.

AFRICA - Camaroon, Egypt, Kenya

ASIA - Bharain, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan,Kazakstan, North Korea, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emerates, Viet Nam

NORTH AMERICA - Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, United States of America

SOUTH AMERICA - Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatamala, Panama, PortoRico, Uruguay, Venezuela

AUSTRALIA & OCEANIA - Australia, Fiji, New Zealand,

EUROPE - Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Serbia & Montenegro, Spain, Switzerland,Turkey, Ukraine,
