We no sooner seem to get into a new year when it closes and yet another one begins! The years certainly seem to be passing by faster than I ever thought possible.
That being the case, and aware that I might not be bothered to stay up and greet 2026 from the outset, I will wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR. May it be a good year for you.

Whilst I'm about it, I'll wish you all the best for 2027. It'll be here before I realise too!

I am curious Chris, in the past recent years of visiting Luxor, I've noticed an ever increasing amount of rather affluent young and middle aged Luxor people, who seem to spend money and enjoy themselves openly and with a freedom that was never so during the Mubarak era.

It would be nice to know if you noticed a more inclusive celibration.
