Me? Well I've just relocated to Lincolnshire and celebrating with friends at home, then a party in the evening.
Anything happening in Luxor? Any hotels having parties?

I'm not a staunch Royalist but I do enjoy a bit of good British Pomp and Ceremony, and seeing history being made on a grand scale, so I shall watch the ceremony and the lead up to it on the television tomorrow.
On Sunday I'm driving up to London with a friend as we have tickets for A Coronation Celebration: The Royal Choral Society's 150th Anniversary Concert, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at The Royal Albert Hall. The programme includes many of those rousing staples e.g Handal's Zadok the Priest and The Hallelujah Chorus, Elgar's Nimrod, Parry's I Was Glad. Our morning will be spent probably in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
I've not been up to town since quite a while before Covid struck the world and did its worse, so I'm really looking forward to our day out with it's own bit of pomp and ceremony.

On the same theme so I won't open another thread...
I may have this wrong, but I understand that the congregation and indeed the whole population are being encouraged to swear an oath of allegiance to the King. I think in the past it has only been peers of the realm that have done this at past coronations.
From what I can find out:
The current standard oath of allegiance is set out from the Promissory Oaths Act 1868 in the following form:
I, (Insert full name), do swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles, his heirs and successors, according to law. So help me God.
What are your thoughts on this? Will you be swearing the oath of allegiance?

Lovely meal at the Gaddis, watched the whole of the Coronation, with spectacular Marching Bands. A lovely afternoon with friends.

Although not religious (so I left the last bit out) I was proud to swear the oath of allegiance today. It was a wonderful occasion and i found it at times very emotional.
