Hippocratic Oath
How do doctors justify going on strike for several weeks when they have all taken the Hippocratic Oath ie "Do No Harm"?(Genuine question, not a rhetorical one ....)

Re: Hippocratic Oath
I don't know the answer to the question however, I do think many doctors would say that the conditions they are being expected to work under is causing harm - to themselves, their patients, the National Health Service, and society as a whole.
I do not know the whole of the Hippocratic Oath, neither do I know if it has been updated over the years to represent more modern English but, I do think the words 'Do no harm' are not fully representative of the real statement which I believe is more along the lines of '...avoid all intentional harm to...'
