Twice have I been on the same plane from Copenhagen as the Egyptian national team during World Men’s Handball Championship in Sweden. Last time I sat next to the best looking player which I did not mind, but yesterday Egypt were meeting Denmark, so there would be no handsome handball players on Egyptair.
I do not care about handball, neither did the passport policeman at Luxor Airport, it seemed, he had never heard about a country called Denmark. Before allowing me to enter international arrivals, studying my brand new Danish EU passport, he had to find a colleague who could confirm that there really is a country called Denmark. Then you know that you are back in Saidiland!
Hating handball as much as I love football, I just remembered to check - Denmark won.
