Possible problem coming to Luxor

I have a problem as living in France my Covid Passport is in my maiden name only but my passport in my married name only! I asked them to change it but the health authority say "Since 3 June, in view of the European vaccination certificates format, the certificates no longer include the name of use.

Please note that the absence of your usual name on this document has no impact. This will make it easier to pass border checks, obtain identity papers and border controls, as identity documents first show your birth name, the birth name first”
They say the QR code should be enough but do they even have them in Luxor?
Anybody any experience of this please? Egyptair and the Consulate don't even reply!

I know of people whose vaccination certificate doesn’t match their passport...sometimes because of recent marriage. They overcame any query by having the relevant paperwork to hand (birth & marriage cert etc).

I wouldn’t rely on the QR code. Do they even have code readers at Egyptian airport?

If you’re still worried, I suppose you could take a PCR test. They’ve come down a lot in price.

Thank you that is reassuring to know. I will have my birth/marriage certs and my French Residency permit (which shows both names) anyway just to get into the UK!
I had those when we went to Ireland in Sept & the woman at customs just said "I know, France" sigh &

If you can get into UK I’m sure there’ll be no problem getting into Egypt.

They let in anybody with a pulse....as long as they’re not on some blacklist
