Having had my birthday TOTALLY ignored for the last 4 years, except by myself, I think it important to at least receive one " happy birthday" from a fellow human being, if not for any other reason but just to confirm your still alive and folk don't think your dead. I remember the good old days when it used to take you ten minutes to read all your well wishes, but now, ' uck all lol. Anyway carrie, hope you have a pleasant day. As an after thought, happy birthday to all the other members today, although I don't know them, I'm almost certain they have heard of me.

You’ve reminded me of the FB birthday greetings I sent to one of my “friends” last year....only to be informed by another “friend” that the aforementioned had died a couple of months previously.

It’s bloody annoying when people don’t tell you they’re dead. Wasted 2 minutes of my precious time.

Since then , I’ve been wary about sending birthday greetings to anyone ....but I’ll make an exception and wish you belated greetings....in the hope you receive this message before falling off your perch.

Thank you all for the good wishes, I know I am a little late in responding but took myself off for a few days r and r whilst my flat was painted.
Got back fridge not working, well the motor isn't, fly screens painted white, WHY?
Will take me a couple of days to scrape the paint off the floor and skirting but hey ho I have had a lovely time at the Winter Palace.

If you put a small amount of washing up liquid in warm water and keep dipping the wire wool in it and use a circuler motion the paint will come off quicker.
