Now I, and my past genetic race all suffered from “Gerstmann Syndrome”

The ability not to be able to shout left when meaning right and obviously vici versa...
Our taxi driver ol Abu Sita suffers from it as well..

So when one shouts' 'shmaal' really meaning 'yahmeen' can make for a lot of fun whilst searching for some
obscure light fitting or plumbing implement over the dark-side..

My Aunt Liz, 'dead posh, who flew her own plane and she only had one lung, she suffered the same problem.
Leftism or rightism..'It's a quandary.. 8)

Gerstmann syndrome - had to look it up - is characterized by four primary symptoms:

Dysgraphia/agraphia: deficiency in the ability to write

Dyscalculia/acalculia: difficulty in learning or comprehending mathematics

Finger agnosia: inability to distinguish the fingers on the hand

Left-right disorientation.

I can think of a few contributors to this forum who display the first symptom.

I may suffer from the third......often thinking people are waiving at me when, in fact, they’re probably making a rude gesture.
