WTF!!! A hair transplant at your age. usually denotes not much love in the household so the need to impress while wandering across pastures new is a priority. The air, or should that be hair, quality must be very rejuvenating for the failed follicles, it took Elton John's two years to resemble a natural head of hair. I still have hair, but close shave it in this heat, when in Thailand I have a polished finish due to the high humidity, constantly having to put up with the calls from the hundreds of bar girls while walking past, ''hey, you sexy man.'' I like people that constantly state the obvious.

I hear that Elton John sues people at the drop of a hat these days, so all I will say is that, not knowing this person so to speak, it is ALLEGED, that in fact to be truthful, he first sought treatment in Switzerland, it was a complete failure, it was said this was as a result of a bad blood transfusion. Well that's what the press said.

It is ALLEGED, that in truth, it was the rather large size of the trephine used in the procedure, that caused the problem, where it was said, again ALLEGEDLY, the patient in question required almost instant results.

A few years later Thackray's Surgical Instruments came up with a quite fine cranial cavity trephine capable of making small insertions to aid brain surgery. Now these fine trephines are used to transfer healthy hair follicle very successfully.

As to whether Mr. Elton John had such treatment,.......I could not possibly comment

It seems a popular thing these days that young men Between 25 - 35 who are losing their hair, is to have what is known as a 'bone-head' hair cut and where the young man has lost his hair, small pin prick tattoos are placed,..........I hear that in fashionable West London and Brighton this is now taking up half such tattoo artists work.

No thats is not the house I am moving into RS, the house we are moving into is single story and stone built, I do not know the house in the picture. That type of house does not appeal to me like the Doctor says its a box on a box, obviously he does not know the term Chocolate Box Cottage or does not watch Midsommer. Our villa in Luxor yes we would call boxy beacasue most of the villa's are built that way either for ease or for the lack of design features, or maybe for the ease of building skyward when the family extends or a family member gets wed and requires a home.

Regarding the hair transplant, it is on a very small approx 4"x3" part and is to cover up some bad scars from when I was a teenager. Now my hair is thinning the scars are showing through and they look terrible. I am not having a thick amount transplanted as it would look a mess, but enough to blend in with my own hair and cover the scars up. Unlike most scars these have never lost their infammitory redness and on white hair they show through, unlike the other scars I have that are there but have lost the redness.

I can fully understand that MT. My grandad was a miner and was involved in a pit accident whicih left him with scars on his head and as you probably know when you are cut in the mine coal dust gets in. When the scars eventually healed they left black marks all over his head. He went bald and wouldn't leave the house or answer the door without his cap on. Only time it came off when he was out was if a funeral passed he removed his cap and stood head bowed at the side of the road. I once asked him if he knew that person who had died, "nay lass but you show respect" the good old days.

A few exposed scars here and there tend to give a bit of street cred. Each to their own I suppose, but my thoughts on the matter is when you get to a certain age, visible scars should not matter, attempting to cover them up via hair transplants is just expensive vanity, IMO.

With reference to what I have already written above yesterday, I am not sure but please check, that a 'plug' as they are called that are removed by the trephine from a healthy area of the scalp, may have a problem being planted into scar tissue,.......I may be wrong, but please check to ensure by contacting a specialist trichologist.

Mine is to be plug set around the scars and then woven into my side and back hair. they cannot plug directly onto scar tissue because the chance of it taking is poor. The only problem I am going to have is the weaving has to be done every 2 months. otherwise it puls at the transplanted hair and breaks it. I have been told that once the transplated hair has taken and grown they will be able to cut you hair has per normal and no need for the weave into your own hair.

The scars I have get very inflammed because of the sun and the fact I dont like wearing any head cover, so the transplant will cover the scars, if the scars get sunburned they itch and some sometime bleed if I touch or scratch them, It spretty horrible really.

Back in the UK I had really impressive results using Miracle Grow on my climbing plants. Just a suggestion.

Pancake day always great as a kid. Making pancakes for the whole family consisting of six kids the pan got well used. I usually make my own like Mama used to. I took a year off this year so I bought Sainsbury's sweet pancakes. I dread to think what they were sweetened with. Back to DIY pancakes next year made with wholemeal flour. Topping? I was going to try peanut butter and banana. I'm usually content with honey.

As for lent, if I could find a nice mountain retreat for fourth days and nights minus the devil that would be bliss. I remember one Easter a young lad was asked about Jesus time on the Mountain. 'He was shown all of the Cities of the World all at once.' He was obviously referring to 'The King of Kings' The epic Jesus flick. It is a vibrant film whereas 'The Greatest Story Ever Told' Which is more solemn. It is a great film drawing influences from Italian Renaissance art. Max Von Sydow who plays Jesus went onto play Emperor Ming and Nazis. The actor from 'King of Kings' played the original Captain Kirk. On account of him playing Jesus he was dubbed 'The Teenage Jesus.' In TV Robert Powell gave us a Jesus which has had any man with long hair and facial hair be told they look like Jesus when in fact no one knows what Jesus looked like. We only have artists interpretations and they are white washed. Coming from a Catholic background I was used to images of blond blue eyed Jesus on plates. Man made God is his own image.

Rule of thumb is 1 degree celcius cooler for evey 100 ft above sea level.

My memory says 1 degree Fahrenheit for every 300ft above sea level. Can't be bothered to look it up.
