I came up with this idea last night!
A monthly farmer's market at a locally known hotel.
I already have a few ideas for quality local produce including organic Duck and Pork products.
I know a lady who makes great cheeses and preserves, another who makes great cakes, also a baker but am looking for more.
So, if anybody out there can recommend good quality produce, please post them on here and I will
get in contact...'cheers.... 8)
Ps: My homemade fermented Sriracha sauce is to die for....

Some really nice cheese, perhaps wenkies would be prepared to open a little stall there once a month. Save the ice cream being melted on the way over. Great idea Who can't wait.

You've been talking about growing your own mushrooms for donkeys years. I'm surprised you've not already been there, done that, and got the T.shirt.

Don't know who made it but the Lemon curd went down a storm at the Ace fundraiser.
How about a plant stall?

Lemon curd is easy to make too, and keeps for up to 3 weeks in the fridge. Homemade curd tastes wonderful in a lemon meringue pie! :up

Why don't you post your recipes Ruby Slippers so that those who want to make their own can, or even if Who does manage to get his market up and running you could make some and sell it there.

I did try growing mushrooms here once, but did it in the garden, to hot I fear then the spores went rotten in the fridge.
This time I will use dark rooms with the floors covered in a growing substrate and old tree trunks....
Keeps me out of mischief anyhow.... 8)

What about lavender oil… if they grow lavender over there - maybe someone could make those perfumed drawer liners - or lavender-filled little embroidered squares of Egyptian cotton. Good luck with the market

Changing it to Artisan Market does seem to be a much more all inclusive title if you are going to include art and craft stalls as well as food.

It will be interesting to see how it all works out for those involved. I hope photographs will be taken and shared afterwards.
