Two of us visited the above but only ordered a meal for one, which was:
Fried beef
Rice
Salad
Homous
Bread
1 bottle of water
1 Orange Juice
1 cup of tea
How much would you expect to pay bearing in mind I had the tea and water.

crewmeal, surely if you are going to name a place as Not Recommended it would be best to identify why you don't recommend it. We are left to assume that you were charged more than expected for your meal, but the response to that would be - 'didn't you check the menu prices first before ordering?'.

OK I didn’t check the prices cause I’ve been using the place for the past 2 years without any problems. I paid 350LE. When I was there at Easter a meal for 3 of us was 450. My friend will have words to say don’t rip off the tourists or else the restaurant will get a bad name.

Many prices have increased since 2 years ago including your exchange rate.
I wouldn't recommend it either but only go there for a beer and the view to show new visitors....
Ps: Mind you £15 quid is steep....

I gladly hold my hands up and say again that I enjoy a big Mac here, but not now, prices have increased three fold, and they no longer serve my favorite drink, cappuccino, and they no longer have free Wfi. Also when you order and state quite clearly what you want, they include the odd item at extra charge and refuse to refund you because you have left the counter after paying and only discover the overcharge when you have your food delivered to your table. Probably why the place is now near empty most times..

I share the same view as Who2 regarding this establishment. I refused to support it in any way after the way I and my equipment were treated a year ago when I provided technical facilities for a lecture there

Re: Nile Valley Restaurant West Bank
I’ve revisited this restaurant again to see if there were any changes for the good. Alas no. I had lamb and chicken kebab French fries, a Stella with 7up and the bill came to 650LE. Asked how much for the beer 300LE. Every other restaurant charges 75LE. I hate being ripped off by these people and the fat chef wonders why I refuse to speak to him.
It seems everyone except me knows about these inflated prices.

Prices change all the time, but 300 for a beer? Gezira Garden wanted 130 for a Sakkara last week, I do not know about Stella. It should not cost more at Nile Valley.

Re: Nile Valley Restaurant West Bank
Just noticed this, so quick response, when Stan was with us I would often get him a Stella it was 8LE in the Ramassum (10LE to £1), but that was then, expect to pay 60 to 70LE at an off licences, and Bennu is right about what the price is at the average WB hotel, expect to pay much more at large hotels in Luxor town.
Nile Valley even when it first opened almost 20 years ago was ripping its tourists off, and certainly a very good place to avoid at all cost.
