Here we go again! A group of MP's headed by Crispin Blunt have demanded to see Morsi in jail for health reasons. Why? What's the point? What do they hope to achieve apart from getting the Egyptian authorities backs up. I'm getting so so disillusioned with MPs these days. I wish they'd stay in their own constituencies and look after folk who voted for them.

Well, if it's ok for Egypt to send a bunch of politicians to monitor how our police are investigating that Nottingham case, then it's right that we should be able to inspect how they look after their political prisoners.

Different circumstances newcastle. All the Egyptians want is to find out what happened to the girl. Our politicians want to meddle in affairs that don't concern them.

Au contraire.

They just want to check he's receiving proper food and care and attention for his medical condition, there being some concern that Egyptian prisons might fall short of acceptable standards.

Probably an unecessary visit....but you never know.

They could fit in a visit to Laura and kill two birds with one stone.
