Seeing someone name over and over again

Okay everyone I have a silly question to asknow.

For the past few months well year I've been seeing the name John everywhere and I don't know why.

At first I thought it had something to do with my middle school crush who's name was John. I thought that it was meant for us to be but I sadly found out that he was getting married so I though out that assumption, it was hard but I pushed through it.

Anyhow after months of crying over the guy and moving on it still see his name or that name in some shape or form. What does it mean?

It's certainly strange Frater.

I mean....John is such an unusual name.

I experienced the same phenomenon when I came to Egypt. Suddenly, there seemed to be "Mohameds" everywhere :o

As some good intentional sole pointed out to me several years ago. The fruits of ones early labours always remain prominent during their life.

Sorry to read this rather sad story Fratter, but in truth, your story is not unusual at all. I see that up to now no one as come through with help here, perhaps most are too old to remember, or how they have lived through a brilliant life,.......well that's what they would want us to believe.

Believe me Frater, your story is certainly not unique. You are a really young person, most people your age dread it when they get to 21 years, they believe their teens have gone, and now they have to become responsible and be OLD. Most people on here will smile at this, but with perhaps a little thought, they know it's true. There is a certain character on here who may after look up a few key words on his laptop, before he has any idea, but even still will come up with a sarcastic comment.

Anyhow, anyone who has lived a life will tell you, they always remember their first love, even if they never had a sexual relationship, and go on for many years to think what would have been, and yes, the name, well something's stay with you for ever, but don't worry it mellows after a while, and as most others on here now reflect with age, you simply smile at the thought of that name.

All best wishes for the New Year. :wi .

I don't get the time to write these days, unlike others who feel they should hang around on here all day, and feel as though they should comment on every post,......I was once told Hurgarda is an interesting place.

Having read through a few recent posts on here, it's interesting to note that many others now realise you're just a bit of a twat.

Which in some ways is a pity - rearranging your contributions into something approaching English must have kept many amused for hours.

On the other hand, meandering reminiscences - real or fabricated - probably have a limited audience. :wi

Funny about names, of course John is one of the most popular names in the UK. My father, both grandfathers an Uncle and a t least 2 cousins of mine are all called John.

Before I came to Egypt I had one Rosemary in my life and that was at school. Since I came to Luxor I have come very close to 4 ladies called Rosemary who live in the UK. Odd.

John was.....over the last century......but has fallen sharply in popularity over the last decade or so.

It doesn't even feature in the top 50 for boys born last year.

Mohammed has replaced William in the top 10 over the last decade.
