Once again we have more terror attacks this time in Spain using vehicles to run into pedestrians. A second attack resulted in the terrorists being shot dead with one report I saw claiming the men were high on something. Now that makes sense, either that or the Spanish police must be bad shots or using too small a calibre weapons as they kept shooting him and he kept getting back up again. The attacks are linked and ISIS have again claimed responsibility for them and a previous suspected gas explosion last week is now thought to have been a bomb making factory used by a larger terrorist cell.

I'm sure the authorities would very much prefer to catch the assailants alive.....which may explain their reluctance to immediately put a bullet through their brain.

Of course most dedicated jihadis have already determined that their mission will likely result in their demise. Being captured and interrogated is not on their agenda.

If stilled armed and moving , possibly wearing a suicide belt, their wishes are likely to be fulfilled.

No you need to see the video, they were shooting at them with pistols and I doubt they were trying to just maim them. This one guy went down then got up again like a zombie and started taunting the police who were still shooting at him, then you see a policeman go out of camera shot and series of shots ring out in quick sucession, so I assume he got in closer and finished him off.

I'm surrounded by police this morning. Apparently the Egyptian/Canadian couple next door were found chained and drowned in their swimming pool.....after, it appears, having filmed their "suicide".

Never a dull moment here......

Have no fear people... Jeremy Corbyn has said that we need new laws to stop these van attacks happening.

Bit of an update Newcastle, it seems that the first four terrorists were shot dead by the same female police officer using her side arm, at least she ws a good shot.

"According to La Vanguardia, the officer who shot the four attackers had been due to go on holiday this week. He is understood to be receiving psychological support in the aftermath of the incident."

The several other reports I've read also refer to a male officer.

Mind you, many of the female officers I encountered in Ibiza could easily be mistaken for a man

Sky news was reporting it as a female officer when I made the post.

They are now saying the similar attack in Finland or was it Sweden? was a terror attack. Now the news is stating that six police officers have been shot in America.
