No, not another visit to Egypt. Ten days in Japan and I'm shattered and more brain dead than when I started!

Well when you have recovered do tell us all about it.

One can't walk down to the shops round here, without falling down Temples, Shrines, and Tombs,
bloody loads of old stone lying around everywhere, and the bins need emptying again!.....

Have you been along Medina lately makes the west bank look pristine. All the central part has been torn up and lumps of huge blocks of concrete just "plonked". I have never seen Luxor look such a mess.
I also noticed that all the little stalls were out on the souk part of Medina but coming back the police and their lorries were out again in force confiscating the goods of those that hadn't got out of the way quickly enough.
