I've just watched the first episode of eight of the new Douglas Adams TV adaptation of George Gently and the Holistic detective Agency. If you were a fan of The Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy, then you will thoroughly enjoy this if the first episode is anything to go by. Full of crazy, mysterious people, not necessarily from this planet or time zone, especially the demented female Assassin. 10/10 so far.

Me neither, a step to close to madness.
I'm reading an Ian Rankin book not Rebus but an ex SAS geezer 'Blood Hunt,.
Now Rankin has never been a soldier always a writer, I read both Andy McNab & Chris Ryan's' because I know them both,
even a guest once at one of Andy's many weddings.

Now these guys have seen & experienced a bit but when it comes to writing about 'tough-geezers but
Rankin leaves them yomping across bogs or deserts.
So, I recommend a good read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_Hunt ..... 8)

Sorry newcaste,

I liked the recent film of Hitch hikers' with Zooey Deschanel, and watching it once was enough, but I could not get into the book at all.
Same with Lord of the rings, and all the other books that were about during my college years that everyone else raved about.
.

I was never one to run with the crowd, but then you all probably guessed that much. :ct

Anyway Dusak, I hope you enjoy the next 7 episodes.. :up

I find myself having to use my 'get out of jail free card' cos I'm 64 and half my brain is defunct. Its Dirk Gently, not George. Why I changed his name will, like the programs content, become another universal mystery. The second episode was as good as the first, the plot thickens.
