The Intouchables (Intouchables) the highest grossing French film in history. I saw it at the cinema a few years ago and I’m stimulated to post on it because I’ve recently seen it on TV.
Part Hollywood with a light touch of Moliere farce it’s the politically incorrect story of a wealthy upper class Parisian cripple and his criminal black carer. Allegedly based on a true story.
Part of its charm is that the carer has no pity for his client – whereas many others see only his disability.
The great French actor François Cluzet stars along side the most beautiful movable object in the modern world – the Maseratti Quantropado – and the music of Nina Simone.
Its sentimental but humorous in a stark way.
Nearly 1800 Amazon reviewers have given it 91% five star. I'm worried to be in a majority.
