Turkey and EU

It seems that talks between the EU and Turkey have stalled for some reason or other. Both Juncker and Tusk have warned Turkey that they will have the Countries economics effected along with currency devaluation, banking problems, farming problems etc etc if they do not start talks immediately. Brexit have told Turkey its all hot air, Merkel and Hollande have said to Turkey take your time, and the Tourist Industry of Europe are now looking for a non militarized zone to take their customers, (Has per normal) Turkey has asked Euro Countries not to stop flying to Turkey, but Eurozone Countries have told Turkey that if they want tourism its their responsibility and they should use their national airline to take the lead, and not expect other countries to take the lead in their problem,

You don't know what you're talking about. Turkey has far more important issues than the EU.

Sorry, but it certainly doesn't feel like fun and games to those of us - Turks and foreigners alike - that live here. The fallout from this is going to be quite dreadful.

Yes posts in "Just for Fun" you are very correct Newc. I don't suppose it will effect anyone and even if it did they can always follow advise given to me and either leave or get out!

They always say what goes around comes around don't they!

So the fact that there has been an attempted coup and hundreds of people killed or injured is a subject of fun for you MT? Well then you have a very strange sense of humour. Perhaps we can have a joke now about the atrocities in Nice.

Like I say what goes around comes around. Most of the people who write on this forum lived in Luxor during the revolution, some did not and comnented from afar.

Yes, I recall them being very concerned.

The trouble is there will still be people around with thoughts of a coup, that will never go away, so they may only be able to keep it down is by Military and Police oppression. Once something like objections to governments start they will always be there bouncing along just below the radar.
