Halfway through this weighty treatise, I became fascinated by the history of one Adam Worth and his fantastic but forgotten robberies.
But became sidelined with a million $$$ robbery on The Bank of England by the Bidwell Brothers.
Upon investigation: read on quite fascinating...

Ps: The more I engage in this book, understanding the Pinkerton's success becomes apparent.
They enjoyed the chase, as much as the miscreants enjoyed doing it.
