Bazza, furtyfox left this book which I have been reading.
A couple of actors are riding BMW's from John o Groats to Cape Town.
So a few days ago I decided to download the series.
It's not bad except the riders backed up by huge amounts of sponsorship,
want to idle a while and soak up the atmosphere of Africa.
They zoomed from Libya to Aswan in 5 days to catch the ferry to Wadi Halfa probably only spending a couple of hours in the VoK.

Now, Ewan of Trainspotting fames' Missis wants to be on it and also wants a bit of fame, much to the annoyance of all the crew involved.
It's a bit like taking your wife to-be on your stag night.
But McGregor is obviously under the thumb of his 'frog missis,
and I am now waiting tonight to see the happy [sic] couple embrace in Malawi.

I have the box sets of all 3 in the series Dr, think a great little program, but then I would wouldn't I?

I saw some of this journey on the TV when it was shown. It was an interesting programme in many ways but like all these 'celeb goes on a trip' films, it seemed to miss out on the bits I as a viewer would have liked to have seen and focussed all too often on the less interesting (in my opinion) bits.

Yeh! I'd have slapped my missis and told her to stay at home suckling their 4 daughters, 'some mothers do have em ?....

Ps: So much for the inner strength of Obi-Wan Kenobi, pussy.
