A sad story......

Gunfire and weddings have long been an element of Egyptian culture. It is always mortifying to hear of the unfortunate accidents that come as a result of gunfire, or gun handling in general. Mahmoud was a 22-year-old groom-to-be, who unfortunately died at the hands of ill fate and recklessness.

Having borrowed a machine gun from a friend in Upper Egypt's Qena to use at his wedding, the soon-to-be groom decided to take advantage of the opportunity by arranging a photo session. It is extremely sad to report that Mahmoud accidently fatally shot himself in the chest while attempting to holster the gun. According to the CairoPost, authorities have stated that the gun was not stolen. Both Mahmoud's brother and a friend were present at the time of the accident, witnessing the tragedy take place.

A tragedy maybe, stupidity certainly. Guns in any culture are dangerous. The fact of the matter is you are more likely to be injured with your own weapon than you are to injure or kill someone else. Families are devastated everyday because a loved one dying with a weapon in the wrong hands. People see TV programmes where a shooting takes place,it's made little of, games where violence is the name of the game. Why do people want to watch movies or play games were they can kill people or be aggressive is beyond me.
Giving air time to thugs who think it's ok to behead another human being, show young kids walking around with an AK 47. Any form of violence should not be shown or encouraged.
No matter what name you put on it, A mother now weeps for her son,a young woman weeps for her groom all because he thought it would be good to have a photo taken with a gun.
I wonder when people will learn none of us are infalable.
