Physicists announced today that they have now detected the disturbances in space-time predicted by Einstein. No one really doubted that they exist...Einstein's Theory of General relativity has already been tested and proved in other way.
The importance of the discovery lies in the ability it will give us to look through the initial years following the Big Bang, years impervious to electromagnetic radiation, and see, at last . the event of creation!

Reminds me of a cake I made, that had gravitational waves all over the top, looked like a ploughed field. Couldnt hide it with icing sugar.
