Am on the River and have just passed through the construction of a new bridge over the Nile which is being built somewhere between Edfu and Kom Ombo.

Anyone tell me anything about the new bridge?

Is this at or near Silsila? Maybe to replace the ferry at Faris to Faturah?

Google Earth imagery here is a year old but something is going on at 24º 34' 59"N, 32º 54' 30"E. Looks like 4 new bridge piers on the East Bank.

I've been to Silsilla today and saw no sign of any building/construction by the river.

It is South of Silsila - see my Google Earth coordinates. You wouldn't see it if only approaching from Edfu.
