50 Shades of Gray
The film has now been released.
Has anyone been to see it?
I know we have some "film buffs"on the forum.
What did you think of it?Are you intending to go and see it in the near future?
I ain't been to the cinema in years.I find now that I have the concentration span of a gnat!
After an hour maximum of most tv programmes,I start to get fidgity and bored!!
I couldn't even be bothered with the novels.I gave up on the first one long before Ana even got anywhere near the "Red Room."So.I have no idea what went on in there!
So far the reviews are mixed, some enjoyed it..some didn't!
Is it just "soft porn?"Are the characters "believable?"Is it "true"to the book?
Personally,I had a hard job believing in any of the characters..before I gave up reading it!
Any views,reviews,opinions?
Or is everyone away to B&Q or Souk to stock up on rope, cable and clamps, lol.
Happy Valentine's Day.x

Re: 50 Shades of Gray
Well me dear, all I can say is,
There are going to be a lot of unplanned babies landing on this planet in early November...
And a lot of men selling their motorbikes..
Talking of weird bearded blokes, I saw this advert on the telly the other day..
All I could think of when I saw this part was.
Looks like the Rohypnol has kicked in...

But I will guess that there will be plenty of "downloads"of it..and it may even feature on Who2's KKK film nite!
Purely for it's "art"form..and curiosity value!

Re: 50 Shades of Gray
There was a wonderful "Mac" cartoon last week - a middle-aged gentleman in the paint mixing section of a large DIY store, surrounded by masses of cans of paint, all labelled Grey, saying "I cant wait to see her face when she sees this lot - she's been dropping hints all week!"

Re: 50 Shades of Gray
Read the books, but I am not sure they were intended to be as comical as I found them. Ana spends most of her time, no matter what happens saying 'oh my'. Now I'm sorry, but millionaire or not, gorgeous or not, my language would have been a lot more along the lines of 'what the f**k' and 'you are having a f**king laugh mate', rather than Oh My, if a bloke had a red room with whips and butt plugs being waved about
The only entertainment I can see from it, is the fact Omar gets embarrassed easily if there is sex on tv and there is only the 2 of us in the room. Putting him in a cinema full of people for a film full of sex and naked bodies would probably finish him off
Couldn't do it to him to be fair.

Re: 50 Shades of Gray
According to the film reviews on MSN, the production is so bad it doesn't warrant one star. One even called for it to be renamed Fifty Shades of Shite.

Re: 50 Shades of Gray
Well I've just watched it over 3 days and admit I quiet enjoyed it, a great storyline about inner desires and really very good.
Happy to note that the DOP was my old mate Seamus….
3 *** stars...

Mentioning Fifty Shades of Shite in the same post as Game of Thrones is not a demonstrative of proclaimed joy.Major Thom wrote:Its being shown on OSN Box Office next week for those that want to watch it, for others that want titillation Game of Thrones has just started back on OSN First every week.
