I think there might be the odd one about in Old Cairo. I remember seeing one about 5 years ago.HEPZIBAH wrote:I have just seen this beautiful painting of a Water Seller in Cairo painted in 1884. It has left me wondering if there are still water sellers in Cairo or other places of Egypt. I have not seen one, but then my travels in Egypt have been fairly limited. It is a tradition that continues in other countries - I have seem the water sellers in Morocco, and not just in tourist towns such as Marrakech, and LisaK has seen them in Palestine. I also think I saw some in Tunisia, but that was quite a few years ago now.
