Why not contact them Frater, I'm sure they must have an email address. Good luck with your graduation. Hope you and all your family are well. And before I forget in case you don't post again before then. Merry Christmas.

I may be wrong, but I read Frater's post as indicating a wish to be re-united with his 'family'....i.e. the Amarna royal family.
An approach to the museum might not be such a good idea

Not much of a reunion then when all concerned are dead. One sided conversation me thinks.

No I wasn't talking about that part of the family I'm talking about my living relatives i'm not the only living relative of the Amarna family. My whole entire family on my Maternal side is related to the 18th Dynasty.

Whether you are right or wrong, it is selfish to take up people's working or personal time unsolicited just to "get something off your chest" for your own personal reasons. I seriously thought you might want to volunteer at the museum, but your reason is all about you and nothing else.
Too many people these days have turned themselves into their own mini-reality tv channels, especially online. It's really a horrid thing.

I think you're being a bit harsh Glyph. Tracing your long lost relatives can be rewarding - if done with sensitivity.
But I wouldn't start with the museum Frater. I doubt their records would be much help and they might not take you seriously.
I don't know if Tel el Amarna has a Registry of Births, Marriages & Deaths going back to 1350BC. Worth a try maybe?

You know what of course it is because they are part of who I am but not just me my ENTIRE FAMILY. I said i want to get this off my chest because I feel like this is the proper way of doing this. The reason why I contacted the Museum, YES I DID, is because perhaps, PERHAPS they could do a DNA tests or something to PROVE me whether i'm RIGHT or WRONG. about the whole situation that is why I contacted the Museum
The plan was Glyph was to grab their attention so i could do a DNA tests on my self and basically Seqenenre Tao(the Forefather of the family) to see if i'm accurate. The other part of the plan was to help the Museum piece together the Amarna story which only I could. And lastly, to finally close the Tomb of Tutankhamun for good its time he goes to rest.
What i find selfish is that they could dig up the graves of the death and not take in consideration whether or not these people should be disturbed or not so we're fair.
So what its my story I have the right to question what i believe just as well as everyone else

Few people today reside in the place of their origin, your own country is a fine example.
How much native American Indian territory has been desecrated without consideration as to whether its fair?
You wont win this one, even if your DNA was in any way a match, your poking the nose of a bear that will gobble you up.
An American, (and a gay one at that) with lineage to the original rulers?
I wouldn't expect a red carpet welcome my friend.
Give it up.

I'm not expecting a red carpet welcome in fact I don't want fame but I do want to find out if i'm related to them or not but even I don't get any response from them too bad because this will die with me, or not.
Another purpose for the trip back to Egypt is to educate my niece and nephews on those who paved the way for him to be here.
Everything that i've faced, the abuse, the bullying, the slandering, all of those shaped me to be the person that I am today. trust when I say I can handle this sure i might feel bad but I will prevail. As Ohm Sety before me, I would stand by my beliefs and that's that
