Automatic Log In

I have always had Luxor4U set so that my Username and Password are submitted and I should be able to log on automatically when ever I open Luxor4U. By that, I mean that when I open my computer I used to be able to just click on L4U from my favourites bar and I could go to all forums without any further log in needed. Recently however this has not been the case and I have had to Log In each time - my user name and password come up automatically each time I start the process so they are clearly stored. I do click the Automatic Log me in box (sorry can't remember the exact word) but I have to go through this every time I want to use the forum.

It didn't used to be like this and I had convinced myself that I had done something silly the last time I did a Cookies etc clean up. However, in conversation another member has just brought this up so it appears I am not alone. Are others having this problem? If it is us -what are we doing wrong...and more importantly, what should we do right to rectify this?

I just like you Hepzibah just click and enter but if my electricity goes off and I don't shut down my comp properly then I find next time I have to log in all over again.

My computer loges me on automatically as soon as I click 'log on.' But at times I have problems with the system. Once I choose 'new posts' click onto a subject it comes on 'you must be logged on to view.' When posting a reply, sometimes the same happens so I have to log on again. Just means that I have to keep back clicking until I have the written post on the screen to post again. I think that its probably a blip in the system. After all said and done, no machine can be more reliable than a real person, can it?

Everything is working fine on the server, the automatic login is run by a cookie on your PC, if this is corrupt or missing the feature will not work. Try delete your cookies, the electric going off or your computer shutting down incorrectly can corrupt cookies, programs running that delete your internet traces (including cookies) can cause this problem too.

On the main index page, under Forum Statistics click the link Delete all board cookies if this does not work try deleting all internet files and cookies from within your browser program you use.

PS: Your IP changing while online can log a member out, this happens on occasion with people who use dongles.
