Do you believe in guardian angels?

A guardian angel is a special kind of angel assigned to protect and guide you during this life. Belief in guardian angels can be traced back throughout antiquity by way of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

The theology of angels in both the East and West, is that guardian angels serve to protect whichever person is assigned them..

As to whether they do exist or not, they seemed to have failed their main remit, that of protection, if you view how many hundreds of thousands of innocents have or are dieing world wide at this moment in time.

It would seem so, if you believe that death is the worst thing that can happen to you.

Yes MD I do, on a spiritual level of course. Who protects my eternal soul, not my earthly body.

Well, I think mine are here to serve me on a physical level, and I serve them when the needs be.

But sometimes....

At the end of the day, they know I try my best, they understand I can be a bit thick sometimes...

Then there is my Mother, she never gave up on me. :up

Never question someone's reason for being here, we all have our part to play, and we have all played our part.
How do you know that the starving kids in Africa are not demons sent down to make happy people feel low when they find out about them ?
or maybe they are there to serve us to show that we do care about them.. 2 sides to every story.. Duality.

Do Not Judge.. :up

A Difficult task those three words..

I seldom think of Guardian Angels, in the personal, with you by your side all the time kind of way. However, I have called upon angels to protect and guard me and I believe that they have done that.

Guardian Angels have become big business these days and images in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and of all kinds of materials from paper to precious metals and gemstones, can be found to keep about your person on in your home. Personally, I find that odd but I know others who take great comfort in such things.

If it gives the individual a measure of comfort believing in these never as yet seen entities, then all well and good. It amuses me to see that many of these unseen heroes of latter days, God, Jesus, Mary, Saints, Angels and even old Nick himself, can only usually be seen when some one cuts an apple or a tomato in half to expose their images. Food for thought perhaps. But still hard to digest.

There are many people around the world, of sound mind, who would testify that they have seen angels. It is hard though for those of us that haven't seen one, or perhaps haven't recognised them when they have been in our presence, to accept that they may well exist.

The only problem with this statement is that no one knows what any of the ones I used as an example look like in their true form, if they ever did or do exist. All are based on how peoples imaginations saw these mythical beings, so created drawings and images of them as perceived by them at the time. Everyone else followed their lead in the mass production of those images.

It it amusing to see that all, with the exception of the Devil, appear as Caucasians with a cheap tan, white being considered the colour of purity, black the opposite. If a theologian was to suddenly arise and state that Jesus was a gay black dude, then perhaps more would believe.

Bullet Magnet I think you must share the same Guardian angel as Choc E and the Motor Cycle club. Just not doing her job.

And if we all counted our blessings more and focussed on them instead of all the negatives I'm sure we'd all be much happier in ourselves and around other people.
