I received this today from a friend so any ideas, Hatsu how's about your Italian/canadian friend ?...
I work as part of the ‘Walking the Nile’ team, I believe you spoke with my college Emily earlier this year. I was wondering if you might be available to talk about some recommendations for Egypt? We’re currently looking for an on screen fixer in Aswan and Luxor and I was wondering if you might know someone who fits the bill?

Sometimes just sometimes, It reminds me of leaving one's funeral to one's friends.
Thanks anyway, I am now in negotiations with said company and with a personable and hopefully skillful character to fill their requirements. Fame and fortune awaits and has just passed you by again, fortune favors the brave..

Also it helps if a person knows what they are talking about when engaging in such a contract. Just read some of the posts on here to get my drift.

I admit that CE's last post I found rather surreal and bizarre....

I would repost this question at "AswanIndividual". But Keefy won't let me put a URL here.

Anyhow being a proper production company they have gone for another 'fixer/guide, but having been cracking on with their young researcher Didi all about luxor and having checked me out she asked '*what's the score if the team pop into your place for a drink, ?
"No sweat you come you buy and you film. He the 'rupert ex para Lev is still in the Sudan....

*not something I would place a bet on.
Ps: I must say his team are posting the most wonderful photo's..

Isn't that where Joanna Lumley set that toy boat to sail from ? Source of the Blue Nile ?

I thought that it was a toy buoy she floated.

The first person to be given permission to walk round the lake.
That's some fixer he has got down in Aswan!
Looks like he will be with you in Luxor just before we get back

Looks like the team is only walking round one side of the lake. The East Bank is probably the less tricky and shorter route.

the vanguard arrived here today, line producer and the slightly chubby security ex special forces, nice people drunk nearly all my booze and pumped me continually with this question that question. Lev the star will be here within the week Oh ah! they are looking for interesting people to talk to, I said they have all f****off for ramadan. Amazing out ignorant they are about this tomb that temple and bars ramadan ect. they are staying in the Hilton they hate it, who doesn't ?
they wanted to interview interesting people I said they are dead it's just a load of OAPs here suffering withdrawal symptoms from the 60's or old birds getting their legs over.
Anyhow they are coming back will keep you updated I told them to bring a few slabs of beer nextime....

TV people bringing their own beer! I would have liked to have been there to see that. Looks like a trip up the road for you. Have you considered charging an entry fee?
We will be back in just over a week, loaded to the limit with new clothes etc
