The following information was issued by the UK FCO today:
"There were a number of explosions in Cairo on 25 June, including at some Metro stations. There are reports of injuries. Metro services were suspended temporarily but have now resumed."

I saw this report a bit earlier this morning.
Two minor explosions took place at two Cairo metro stations during early morning rush hour on Wednesday, Al-Ahram's Arabic news website reported.
At least three were injured, according to state news agency MENA and Al-Ahram.
The first blast, which took place in the northern Shubra station, was caused by an improvised bomb, interior ministry spokesman Abdel-Fattah Othman said. The second was a result of a sonic explosive placed in a rubbish bin at Ghamra station, on a different metro line.
The spokesperson denied earlier reports that four explosions had taken place at four different stations.
One of those injured in the blasts is a suspect, he added.
Metro sources and medics had earlier told Al-Ahram that four makeshift bombs had blown up at four metro stations, wounding at least three.
Security sources continue to comb the sites of the blasts for further explosives, the interior ministry said.

I've since seen a comment elsewhere that says 5 people were injured but I don't have a link for that at the moment.

I've had them for so long now, they've become old friends. But please don't get me started on sickness carry, or we'll be spending the remainder of the afternoon discussing the rest of my ailments, both real and imaginary.

Sounds like some futuristic laxative for the chronically constipated.

Many ailments are indeed subjective...
I cured my chronic sciatica by remembering the silver and indigo blue ST Christopher pedant my mother gave me for my baptism when I was about 12 or 13, which I promptly lost on a farm during the hay bailing season.
Colds no longer bother me either, as soon as I get the first sign of a cold, I do my meditative breathing exercises, and lo and behold... Vamoosh !!

Just had an email from the Embassy about the bombings and also a warning that it is increasingly difficult to cash travellers cheques here in Egypt. Do people still use them.
