Does anyone know if there are still or already vanille beans in the market? I used to by them at the spice shop.
But since a while now I don't find any.

One normally buys the long pods. Is that what you are referring to?

Adel Attar is in the street to the left of Pub2000/Esquire restaurant. About 50M along in the direction of Medina St. It is on the right.

I've been in nearly all the spice shops in the Egyptian Souk today looking for Liblab, it is liblab not lablab, I asked about vanilla pods in everyone but no one had any just the vanilla powder. So at least although not found it for you saves you having to look there.

Thanks for the tips. They told me that they don't have because there's no tourism.

Can anyone tell me about how to use the vanilla crystals/powder? I've never been sure! I usually use either the pods or extract.
