A bit of good news for all potential travellers to Luxor, Egyptair Flight ms761/762 the direct flight LXR/LHR/LXR actually flew today the first time for a month.
Fortunately for me that is flight I usually use, so I can only hope that it continues.

We were on it, it took off 45 minutes late but at least we flew direct 
Sadly thanks to Heathrow baggage handling our cases were saturated, to the point that 2 of my white tops have been ruined by taking the colour from the case
There were even water droplets on my glasses case inside the body of the case, I think it must have been left in a puddle! Luckily I am pretty paranoid when I pack & so tend to wrap a lot of items in plastic, my dried mushrooms would have been a right off otherwise

More good news 761/762 operated again today and on time. and when I checked for availability for early September two websites indicated the flight for 2/9/13 was almost full in economy.
Either Egyptair is picking up passengers from other airlines who have decided to hold off or someone is telling porkys.
