Funny you should mention that Barry, When I saw the Advert, I thought the Doctor would be interested in that generator..

It will be interesting to see how this pan's out, as the interrogation continues, make, fuel type, etc.... . :tk

Weirdly enough, when I read the post, I had just come back from performing a test on our own emergency generator...
( since no one else in the office could be arsed, and I wanted a ciggie anyway...)
It's an all singing all dancing auto starting 6 cylinder diesel engine in a sound proof half size portacabin....

Providing you can purchase Benzine

600W will power 6 x 100w lamps, its a good job you turned it off B when you tried it on a AC Unit a 1.1/2 HP uses approx 800w.

An ideal size, though for people just wanting light during a power cut. For one to be able to run Fridge Freezer, 6 x lights, TV and a 1.5HP AC Unit would be a 3000W, this would allow for the start up surge of the AC and Fridge.

You must be speed reading again CE and missing most of the information  Bombays post was only short too

It says 6000w (SIX THOUSAND) not 600..

My son had a chinese motorbike, and the running gear couldn't be faulted,
ie, Engine and gearbox.(Basically a Honda CG engine and box )

The only issue was that they didn't use Nylock nuts, so lots of things just shook themselves loose from the bike itself..

However, a visit to a hardware shop to buy good old British nuts and bolts, resolved that problem..

I always thought the asking price was meant to decrease rather than increase after a few enquiries, bit of a demand these days is there for genny's.?......
Ps: no-doubt CE will make an offer as he's raised the interest level, I'll wait a few months....
Pss: 8 years ago I brought a Honda from Cairo £700quid for the camp it ran 3 houses..
