My dear old Dorset garden thermometer reached the same as Cairo on Sunday Lunchtime!!
But it is really humid here, feel like a limp flaccid Coz Lettuce!
We have got 26 degrees tonight at this time 9.45 pm.....................The Mozzies are having a ball on me arms!, so someone is enjoying the mugginess of it all!
I know I shouild not be moaning about our bout of exceptional summer.............but I AIN'T OUT THERE TO ENJOY IT!!!!!!! :xx ...........So I wlll !!!!!!!
One more patient enter my room and says "OOOOOOOOH You should be out there enjoying the sun..." and I WILL EXPLODE!!!!!!!
We live in the dark in ultrasound, and have to keep the rooms at air conditioned chill factor to protect the scanners. We do not even have a window to gaze longingly at this Solar marvel!!!!!! I am just just a pale wraith huddled in the corner, dreaming of parasols, sand, icecreams, factor 50 sun cream, rubber rings, freckles.....I could go on......but I will just turn into more of a miserable bugger!

A healthy glow for me from the afternoon Sun, had a long soak in the bath, out in the garden, just watched the swallows feeding in the air,
Cup of tea, the Sun set behind Ceagwrle castle. :up

On the downside. I have spent 2 hours De-tangling my Newton's Cradle, after my 2 year old grandson gave it a good ragging.. :urm:

I must say it's been remarkably cool here this year..hasn't gone past 35oC here on the west bank as yet......
Ps: Are not the Luxor temperatures taken at Luxor airport surrounded by heated tarmac, my 5 various thermometers have yet to hit 35oC are located in the shade rather than some wally on here quoted direct sun readings.

35 degrees seem's rather Balmy for Luxor this time of year, but i am pleased for you all, as it could be worse, especially with Ramadan in full swing..

We have around 26 degree's, which is great around here in the sticks, but in the City it is quite uncomfortable.
Although the scantily clad females in Liverpool do make a handy distraction from said discomfort...

10:00am Time to go into the garden with a book, ciggie and cuppa... :ct

Busy, busy, busy... :cg

I should think that the temperature quoted at Luxor Airport, is with equipment approved by the CAA/FAA, as air temperature is very important for aircraft operations. I check the temperatures on Weather Underground, and I have seen said temperatures above 45C a few times, disproving A-4's urban myth -which if I remember the first time I heard someone mention it, the temperature was 40, not 45. In the sun, in places like the Valley of the Kings, it can actually reach 50.

Not such a myth, though. Years ago, we had a young lady tour guide who informed us that if the temperature went above 45C they could stop work. Consequently it never did! She was Egyptian, by the way.

It is 30C here today and everybody is literally melting away. Talk about hot! I'm by the ocean so always get fresh breezes but it is positively HOT in the downtown area.
