Success freesias

Post by FABlux » Tue Mar 05, 2013 8:32 am

Have just cut 2 freesia flowers & they smell wonderful :rs I wasn't sure whether they would grow here but gave it a try & after sitting around in the ground for a few months they have suddenly thrown flower spikes :D The white hollyhock is in bloom in the same flowerbed next to them so maybe they thought it was time to join in.

How lovely! One of my favourite flowers. I love perfumes that have them in their ingredients.

Beat you to it Fablux, mine have been popping up for four years now, but only last, if I'm lucky, a couple of days before the cats ether chew them to bits or squash them with their fat bod's.

I don't think that they put the actual plant in the perfume Winged Isis, I think its the essence they use. :D

You'll just have to pick them quickly or keep the cats off Dusak, how about planting them near a really spiky plant ;)

I can only wear 1 or 2 perfumes WI, they go peculiar on me. I bought 1 when we lived in the UK & Barry went round the house accusing the cat of scenting until he realised it was my perfume :urm:
