Re: Asparagus & Spinach
Spinach, when in season, is available everywhere just ask for sabanick [phonetic spelling!]. Asparagus is available in KZ supermarket and in the the big fruit and veg shop on the corner where Mebina goes dual carriageway occasionally.

Where's that then? I really need to get more familiar with the names of places as I really can't think where you mean

Re: Asparagus & Spinach
From Television Street El Madina el Monawwara [called Medina by the Ex-pats] is a narrow street by the large Vodafone shop; after a 100 yards or so it widens to a dual-carriageway and the fruit and vegetable shop is on the left at this point. Omar's supermarket is further down on the left. [beware of the fruit and veg barrow stall in the next right hand lane entrance after this, he will over charge you and short change you if he can get away with it!]
