Re: Post any problems with the Forum in here please.
A good cool look, Keefy! One problem I've met that wasn't on the old forum was that when I replied to Kevin's post with the quick reply, I went to an information screen saying my post was successful, and click to go back, or wait. Is that something we really need (or can I fix that myself through my user screen)
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

The overall look is fine; just going to take a bit of time to get used to moving around quickly. I miss the scrolling topics but if I've worked this out, active topics is now the place to look.
Now this isn't directed solely at Arthur...
Please, no bits in yellow – they're unreadable! New colour choice needed.
Don't know how my age got in there; I HATE seeing it in print. Must check the profile!

I agree. Which colour would you prefer Tony?TonyC wrote:Now this isn't directed solely at Arthur...Please, no bits in yellow – they're unreadable! New colour choice needed.

Now, if only I could find out how to edit old posts to correct the illegible yellow...

I agree, it is annoying.LivinginLuxor wrote:... when I replied to Kevin's post with the quick reply, I went to an information screen saying my post was successful, and click to go back, or wait. Is that something we really need...
The good news for me is the newsfeed option - it will make such a difference!

Ps. I notice that URLs are not shortened when coded... is there a gremlin? Example:

It's looking great, Keefy!
One thing I've noticed, is when you make a word "bold", it isn't very bold at all. Could it be made more bold to avoid having also to make it italicised or coloured, to be sure it really stands out?
I agree with Stan re the info screen.
You're right about the yellow TC; I changed my signature yesterday when I made my first post. Even though I'd previously had a darker yellow than Arthur's, it still didn't look any good on the new blue.

In the top right corner there is this orange icon you can click, then subscribe to rss feeds.HEPZIBAH wrote:BENNU wrote:

@Arthur dont use the URL BBCode and then it will shorten the link ive done it with your last post), i might actually remove the URL BBCode or change it to URL= so you can do this: Charity worker allowed to leave Egypt
@ Winged Isis The bold text looks BOLD to me
You posted arthur while I was posting, that's one good thing when you click submit, it lets you know if someone else as posted another post, so you can alter your post if need be.

Hi Keefy
Each time I try to change page my 'internet explorer has stopped working'. It recovered the tab 4 times and then gave up so I had to reload the page manually instead. Is it maybe just a problem with my IE? Think I'm on version 9????

Version 9 should be working fine, but there is a problem with IE 8 but only with a certain version of it. you could try see if there is an update for the IE version your using to fix any bugs it might have.

Re: Post any problems with the Forum in here please.
I think im going to have to post this in all threads
Click the option button under the Luxor4u logo then choose the following:
View unanswered posts (posts that no one has posted in)
View active topics (posts that have been posted in the last 7 days)
View unread posts (posts that you have not read)
View new posts (posts that are new since you last logged in)
View your posts (posts that you have made)
I might rename the options button to (view posts) options

Have to admit, I never saw the orange icon but I wouldn't have known what to do with it if I had!BENNU wrote:In the top right corner there is this orange icon you can click, then subscribe to rss feeds.HEPZIBAH wrote:BENNU wrote:

I am SO pleased with the RSS news feed! You don't even have to open Luxor4U to see the last ten headlines!
It is such a relief!
(The rolling thing didn't even work on my latest laptop most of the time, they rolled once, then the first two headlines kept coming back, very hard to catch.)
