Comparitive needed

3 times lately I have wanted to say something is not as good/nice as another.

Examples are

1) the new black bin bags are not as good as the old blue ones. Not a colour prejudice but black are much thinner.
(Before the green lobby start I reuse carrier bags where possible but use a fabric shopping bag to avoid the excess carrier bags but then don't always have enough large ones for bin liners.)

2) normal blue cheese is not currently available & the pre wrapped danish is much stronger

3) meat in the new quiche from the baker is not as nice as the original, but his vegetarian one is delicious

I certainly don't want to say mish quais (not good) as that is far too strong but want to be able to compare a with b. Is there a simple word to insert like not as nice, or is there an extension of quais? good/better ?

Maybe say something like I prefer the black.

You could say 'assan' (better than) or 'assan shwoyeh' (slightly better) or 'assan owi' (much better). Spelt very much as it sounds!

Thank you both, that covers all eventualities for now I think.

Presumably I could say assan owi when asked about my healing ankle as well, unless it only applies to inanimate objects?
