Hello Chef here.........
I am looking for ROCK SALT and TANDOORI MASALA.........
in Luxor.
Any ideas the normal remuneration is in place. 'cheers.....8)

If I were you, I would buy the spices and mix them yourself to make the Tandoori Masala.

1 tsp Garlic (Lasun) Powder
1 tsp ground Ginger (Adrak)
1 tsp Cloves (Lavang) Powder
1/2 tsp grated Nutmeg (Jaiphal)
1 tsp Mace Powder (Javitri)
11/2 tblsp Cumin (Jeera) Powder
2 tblsp ground Corriander (Dhania)
1 tsp Fenugreek (Methi) Powder
1 tsp ground Cinnamon (Tuj/Dalchini)
1 tsp fresh ground Black Pepper (Kalimirchi)
1 tsp ground brown Cardamom (Elaichi) Seeds
2 tsp Red Food colouring

Surely a chef such as yourself would have all those ingredients to hand. If you make up the basic from the above recipe you can always store any you don't use immediately, and adjust the taste to suit yourself. [/face]

Looking at the list of ingredients for the Tandoori Masala, you can certainly get all those spices in Luxor. Now all you need is a turban ;)

You can find National range of spice mixes from India in Omars plus other shops they do a Tandoori Masala mix but its not always in stock. I can also order Tandoori Masala mix for personal use if you would like, but not enough to open a restaurant!
I warn you its not its not cheap PM me if you are interested.
