Leak & Potato Vichyssoise

Leaks
Potatoes
garlic
grated carrot
chopped onion
stock
smoked bacon bits
herbs, ect...
sherherazade white
parmegiano or rhomi grated & dried
ripped cilantro or jerjear

Sweat off all sweaty things in oil and butter bung in pots and stock from last nights chicken chasseur's marinade, simmer couple hours bung in wine and seasoning. And smoked bacon bits.
I forgot tub of zebardee knob of butter..
Serve hot with grated parmegiano and fresh bread.
or chill in fridge 'ripped cilantro dust smoked paprika....nice summer afternoon refresher washed down with a chilled White.......8)

Hmmm thought that myself, but dont have the smoked bacon :( not sure of parmegiano or rhomi grated & dried and ripped cilantro or jerjear :oops:

Just consumed the last of our latest batch of leek and potato soup.
Simple country recipe for us though...no smoked bacon, wine or herbs...cos I dislike them!
Always use some grated rhomi sprinkled on top though but I like my soups hot not cold. Philistine...who me?

Try leek and potato pie in a crisp shortcrust topping...... :P :P
I made a turkish pilav tonight - lentils pilau rice onions garlic leeks spices and banana topped with organic yoghurt deeeelish
serve with grated beetroot grated carrot and butter bean salad easy peasy!
I don't have a plan......so nothing can go wrong!
