Did you copy that design from Sir Peter Viggers infamous duck house ?
And did it cost less than the £1645 he claimed for his ?
Business opportunity maybe....

All in all about £150 squid and there's alot of all in all, the ducks were free, I mean I didn't want bloody ducks, but it's a bit difficult and rude to say, 'no ta, I've had rabbits given to me they died, a chicken called brian he ate anything and everything, till we ate brian, pigeons breeding like rabbits, 6 warrens very discreet and a house-cat with no-name, he suffers me and the menagerie.
I would have had my dog, Tyson but some thevin egyptian nicked him from down ramla way...8)
ps: watch this post swimmin lessons next........
I forgot to include Archimedes, he released my level of intelligence and flew off bit like the ex...8)

Aquaphobic Ducks :lol:

This sophisticated dish is perfect for dinner guests. The sauce can be prepared ahead of time and the duck seared right before serving. A glass of Chablis enhances the meal. or Stella J'preferer ;)

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:

* ¼ cup granulated sugar
* 2 tablespoons water
* 2 tablespoons Sherry vinegar
* 1 ½ cups orange juice
* 2 tablespoons shallots, minced
* 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
* 4 oranges, sections cut from membranes
* 2 duck breast halves, seasoned with salt and pepper
* ¼ cup unsalted butter
* 2 tablespoons orange zest

Preparation:

Boil the sugar and water for several minutes, until the syrup caramelizes and turns a golden brown colour. Add the vinegar, juice, shallots, and chicken stock and simmer until the sauce is reduced to a little less than a cup. Add butter and 1 tablespoon of orange zest. Stir in orange sections.

In a skillet, sear the duck breasts over high heat. Cook the duck for about 9-11 minutes on each side. Pour the prepared sauce over the duck breasts and garnish with the remaining orange zest. :P :P

Makes 2 servings. (HINT) !!

get cracking, See you at 7 PM. DW?

I'll see if I can dig out a recipe for Owl butties next...

I've been sitting watching & learning about my ducks, their reactions to aqua-living, and whilst pondering the flotation and nature of my big canal, my thoughts wandered to returning to blighty,
I would love to hear from the first passengers on the first flight into UK airspace, if of course your not 'up to your neck's in british soil....8)

So, have they taken to it like ducks to water?

I like the little ramp, did you steal it from a felluca?

I have locked them in for a couple of days to get used to living on water today I will remove the portcullis and watch the results, spotted a 3ft warren cruising by yesterday...
One observation is I should have made it round so all those shoes, coke bottles and rubbish slid on by it...8)

Glad you mentioned the Warrens, my first reaction was that you had created a Monitor Lizard feeding station. It would be better off if you raised it on a small pontoon to keep it higher in the water, with a floating ramp that only supported the weight of a duck without sinking. :)
