Thank you MK...
Well GD... i got honored several times in march 2007, but none in june 2008... then i could walk freely with the local people without they stoping us once... i start wonder now if it was because the person i actually walked beside 2007... God knows i was not the only woman he brought to Luxor... when one left the other came...
the orfie paper is easily done and what i have heard they can bribe people to make this paper without the woman's knowledge.. obiously he was able to do that... after he asked if i wanted to marry him.. and then he also said some fantasysum.. what i have heard it is only about 50 LE... above that.. it is smelling scam long way... i did not want to marry him after only seeing him once and actually i was not able to afford that kind of relationship.. when he saw he could not get a penny out of me... i got less intresting...

i got a right rollocking on here for exactly same as you did - although i knew what the green paper was for.- but at least it shows that you do get stopped and asked for it -especially at the check points coming over to west bank . thank you i needed to hear your comment -
Is it now a badge of honor to have been stopped by the tourist police?
That was not what I meant . But that I had good use of the paper and was happy to have it during my four year long relationship. We were stopped numerous times on the corniche and in the bazaar.
I wasn't responding to you.

I'm with you there Goddess!

I didn't pay for ours - I certainly wouldn't expect to. Had a green unregistered one - please for the last time the colour of the paper means nothing - it depends on what stamps are on the paper. I've asked P and he paid 100le for it - not a small time or backstreet lawyer.

We've never been stopped anywhere, ever - on the Corniche, going into 5 star hotels for a meal - anywhere. If you're being stopped on a regular basis you need to ask yourself the question why.

Because everywhere in the world the police are familiar with who the streetwalkers are! But they still have to catch them in the act.

Thank you Godess... I am very happy and my husband to be is just what i want a man to be...

 i love it... i just asked if it depended on the man i was with in 2007.. and i guess he is a streetwalker then..

then i guess i was with respected people in 2008 then, because then they did not stop me and my company once... well i was visiting their homes and saw all the fancy things their wives from Europe have bought for them... i was just curious to see how their mind works when it comes to their western women and got a whole lot of answers... i did see a whole lot of sms from different women and they talked about women in their 60's and their women in their 20's... i was not eager to go for an egyptian man after that.. at 40 obviously i was a bargain according to them.. still enough young to be beautiful and enough old to be trustworthy and faitful... but i guess if i had enough money to buy them fancy clothes and tech stuff the age would not matter at all... but of course all their women where loved by them...

If they were respectable or had self-respect they would at least be ashamed to admit their wives bought them the fancy things and they would have respected the women enough not to be showing their texts to everyone. It's good that you understand how things work there but honestly don't you feel disgusted by these people and didn't you feel like telling them how they are lacking in any real manly qualities?

I'm sure you found a real gentleman at home in your fiance that could teach them all a thing or two!

Yes i was disgusted... and i became cynical very fast... but at the same it was good in a healing process for me... i needed to hear that... and that i as many other women just was played... cause i was in it for true feelings even if he did not... i think if i was down on plain vacation and hear all theese men then, i would never have fallen for his sweet talking tounge... i am far from a virgin, but in this love affair i was... cause i did not know what would be coming and when i got it, i turned my back...

Yes... my man could learn some of them what a decent man would do... :)

Re: How much did you pay for your orfi?

50le, and many are still paying! Thought this was supposed to be out of the window, or has it returned now?

There is certainly one thing, those that invested under false pretences in property will loose out heavily now. Don't expect to sell anything for a few years! Even those that have said they had returned home to the UK to start a new life with a new flat and new job have come back so either things are bad in the UK or it was said to cover up other things, that may have happened, either way it seems some just cannot keep away, or they are just gluttons to the cause, that being the case what more can you say except reap what you sew!

Choc must have time on his hands! Reviving a topic that old, from the lovely PRChick who sadly died several years ago. A lady who I enjoyed arguments with here, and coincidentally shared my birthday!
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

That's sad, I didn't know PRChick had died. Perhaps Keefy could post a current list of all those that have sadly passed away then no accidental mistakes would be made. A few times I've noted references to past members, not knowing that they are no longer with us. You just presume that they no longer post.
