Has anyone ever made any?
When I was a kid my parents moved a lot, but I always found them.

No. It is usually well on it's way to 'rising in the sun 'by the time I get up when we stay at our family home!
I feel so guilty, really I do. but even with two young ones they start very early when it's hot weather.Mind you they catch up withthe sleep later...

mr cc and me, we love it too, he really misses it. The nearest thing he's found over here is pitta, so if anyone has any suggestions. Obviously making it is out of the question, we don't have any sun to make it rise

yeah I know the difference but there doesn't seem to be any thing like it in the uk but the pitta does for him and it opens like the pockets in the sun bread. I think he'll just have to make do until we get back to Luxor next year. I could just eat some now

MIL always shoves a couple of loaves of sun bread into my suitcase when I am leaving.Never tastes the same though. She has been known to shove in cooked stuffed pigeons
, maashi,pickled lemon,lettuce(khas),and various other delicacies
