So Frater, any news from the dreaming.. ?

I personally would be fascinated to know how Armania looked, the buildings mainly, and general vista of the place. So if you have any memories of that place, please do share.. :up

You know, you dont need to worry about the past, the looting, which has been going on for thousands of years, more so in Ancient times, and as anyone will tell you, All the worry in the world wont change a thing..

... don't worry, be happy...

Here's a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't Worry, Be Happy
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it double
Don't Worry, Be Happy
Ain't got no place to lay your head,
somebody came and took your bed
Don't Worry, Be Happy
The landlord say your rent is late,
he may have to litigate
Don't Worry, Be Happy
Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style,
ain't got no gal to make you smile
Don't Worry, Be Happy
Cause when you worry your face will frown
and that will bring everybody down
Don't Worry, Be Happy :up

Picture the scene. Family and friends all sit quietly in the chapel at the crematorium waiting to witness old uncle Albert's last journey. And his pre-chosen choice of a send off song is...

Well its sad to say that I don't receive any more memories ever since i wrote my memories into a book it all just seemed to have stopped which to me is a good thing.

My memory OF amarna comes from me being an infant at the time. I do remember that it was dry and it was in the desert there was little grass in the palace area. I do remember how every tall building was perfectly aligned and they were quite close to each other.

from my eyes there wasn't much havoc going on outside the palace than it was inside but I was a 1 1/2 year old at the time I may not been aware of completely everything.

I think its time I share more on the story.

well One time Mery took me to see Amarna(years after I left) and there was hardly nothing there. There was nothing much to look at. Mery stood there with a very sad look on her face. Of all my sisters she was the one deeply affected from the family's fall from grace.

It makes you wonder what happened to the place. ?

I had heard that it was smashed up and all the stones removed, but then they could have used more organic substances to make the city,
in which case this mud brick city would have succumbed naturally to the elements.

What I don't get, is how did they have time to cut ties with Luxor, build the city and move in, live in it, than have it all disappear, all inside of 28 years... :tk

I don't know how they did it but its my personal belief that the city was constructed during the later years of Amenhotep III.

The earliest found boundary stela indicates the 5th year of the reign of Akhenaton so it's unlikely the city was constructed during his father's reign.

Of course it could be an Oopart

Its just my belief

But just because the boundary stela is dated to the fifth part of his reign doesn't necessarily mean that construction began within that year but you know more than me about events from Y14 and backwards I only know what happens afterwards.

I'm like Bullet Magnet, completely mystified by the speed Amarna was built it was claimed to have been built within two years of his reign. One has to wonder how they did it

My questions are how were they able to do it with all the obstacles such as weather and traveling it must have been extremely difficult and with those two factors alone it had to have taken more time at least in my opinion.

Yes I did, but not as much as my elder sisters. I stood close to my mother and went everywhere she went. I was able to play with my other siblings but not my sisters and I think its mainly because either they were older or Nefertiti didn't want us to be associated with them. My father was sick in the later years of his reign so he allowed someone else to run the kingdom for him.

My father watched over me most of my baby life, he just sat there and watched me and some of my other siblings

One time during a parade, I was in surrounded by my older siblings( in a circle). We each held colorful draperies as we ran through the streets through the overpass " the window of appearances". "Look Amenhotep!" Nefertiti says " yes yes" my father said in delight. I noticed as I walked by the two of them had a sad look on their face as if I reminded them of someone that they lost and was dear to them and I believe it was Meketaten. I reminded them a lot Mek as a matter of fact as she slipped away I was coming into the world one could say that she gave me life ;)

the last time I saw him was when he was in a room and looked as if suffering from his ailments. His face was horrid one eye was yellow and the other was normal and he had skinny fingers. My father's face was so horrid that it scared me. My father called out to me I refused to enter the room and all I could hear was him weeping to himself.

The last time I saw my father was the day he made his decision to banish my mother from the Kingdom. My father had on a gold cape and his usual attire. "Go" where the words my mother and go we went.

I'm not here to down any Egyptologists and tell them that what they believe is totally wrong but I would like for everyone to be open minded on things because just because certain things not written doesn't mean it didn't happen. Remember life itself is a mystery
